THE PERFECT CHIA PUDDING BASE

How to make the perfect Chia pudding base that’s perfect for breakfast or a nice, delicious, balance snack! The key to having an amazing bowl of Chia Pudding is having the perfect base!

I love making Chia Pudding because my mornings are usually pretty busy since I work at 6am, it’s something easy I can make the night before, let it set in the fridge, and then just grab and go in the morning! All you need to make chia pudding are chia seeds, a liquid (usually some kind of milk), and collagen powder (optional)! Great to add into your meal prepping routine!

Chia pudding is a great breakfast option because it suuuuuuuuper healthy! My chia pudding has high protein, omega-3’s, full of fiber, and helps keep you full and satisfied until your next meal! Also an amazing balanced snack if you need a little pick me up throughout the day!

Alright! Let’s get to it!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THE PERFECT CHIA PUDDING BASE

CHIA SEEDS: I use Trader Joe’s organic chia seed.

LIQUID: I used Trader Joe’s unsweetened almond beverage. I suggest using some kind of milk or non-dairy milk option for best results! It’s creamier and creates a better texture when setting your chia pudding!

COLLAGEN POWDER (OPTIONAL): I use Great Lakes collagen powder. You can find it at Trader Joe’s or Amazon! Using collagen powder will add some protein and all the amazing benefits of collagen!

LIQUID STEVIA: I use Trader Joe’s liquid stevia to add a little sweetness!

INGREDIENTS FOR THE PERFECT CHIA PUDDING BASE
  • 3 tbs chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
  •  1 dropper liquid stevia
  • 1-2 scoops Collagen powder

HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT CHIA PUDDING BASE
  • Grab a container or jar with a a lid since you’re going to be putting it in the fridge to set.
  • Add 3 tbs chia seeds to the container.
  • Add 1-2 scoops collagen powder.
  • Mix the 2 dry ingredients together.
  • Pour in 3/4 C non-dairy milk.
  • Add stevia.

I’ve been using my hand held milk frothier to blend everything up well and to ensure the chia seeds don’t all settle at the bottom of the container!
