Mid-Week SelfCare

Self-care (n)– The practice of slowing down to take time for one’s self to improve overall well-being and happiness.

Sometimes it’s easier said than done, especially when you’re always on the go or just super busy. BUT, it’s very important to just STOP, take a second, and relax. It’s easy to just keep going and going but you’ll eventually burnt out, which is why I’ve been trying to incorporate more self-care routine into my weekly schedule. It’s simple things that are easy to do at the end of a busy day.

Do a nice facial scrub. One of my favorite and also budget friendly facial scrubs is Trader Joe’s Microdermabrasion scrub. It’s a gentle facial scrub that will leave your face feeling instantly refreshed while buffing away dull dry skin, unveiling a nice fresh glow.

Now, that your face is nice and refreshed, lets take it up a notch to give you that extra G L O W. After I do my facial scrub I love doing a clay mask. Doing a clay mask will take your facial glow to the next level, purifying your skin, reducing the appearance of enlarged pores, and leaving your skin feeling silky smooth. I’ve been enjoying the Alitura Clay Mask, but there’s a more budget friendly option at target that is also great!

While you’re applying your clay mask start running a hot bath.

Face is scrubbed, clay mask is on, feelin’ goooooood! Hot bath is almost ready, just add in your favorite epsom salt for the ultimate soothing bath experience.  I enjoy using Dr. Teals. They add a nice aroma therapy to your bath and there are so many different options!  Epsom salt has great benefits as well! Relieving achy muscles and refresh your skin!

To add some extra relaxation to your at-home self-care spa, add some candles in your bathroom, turn out the lights, and you can even throw on a spa music play list to have a blissful soak for ultimate relaxation.

And there you have it a mid-week self-care night that can be incorporated a few times a week to unwind and relax a little and hopefully boost your mood and confidence! Hav a great rest of your week! Comment below your favorite self-care things you like to add into your week!
