5 TIPS TO AVOID OVEREATING ON THANKSGIVING

GOOOOOOOD MORNING! AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!! I started my morning out with a nice cup of coffee and a lil sweat and stretch sesh at HMF Yoga Studio with Tate, who gave us a killer workout and I feel alive and energized!

Now its time to feast right! Today enjoy yourself and eat all the things you want! It can be easy to over indulge and then you may not feel too great after lol, but I’ve got a few tips to help from overeating!

NOW, I’m not saying to restrict and care about what you’re eating, that’s what today is all about! Eating, drinking, and enjoying yourself and time with your loved ones, this is just a few things to help you not STUFF yourself and feel bad!

So, lets get to it!

5 Tips to avoid overeating on Thanksgiving:

  1. Don’t skip a meal. If you aren’t eating until lunch or even dinner time, don’t skip breakfast or brunch! Have a lighter meal so that you aren’t fasting until its time to feast! That way your metabolism is rolling and you aren’t starving!
  2. Stay hydrated. No mimosas don’t count as hydration lolol. Start your day with a nice glass of water and continue to ensure you’re drinking enough water through out the day! You’ll feel fuller and you’ll be happy tomorrow that you’ve stayed hydrated to avoid any potential hangover 😉 .
  3. Eat slowly. Now that it’s finally time to eat, don’t shove all the food into your mouth! Eat slow, chew your food completely, and enjoy chatting at the Thanksgiving table! Eating slower will allow you to stop eating once your full, instead of that OH sh** I’m too full to even get out of my chair feeling lol.
  4. Make time to move. I started out my morning with HMF hip-hop yoga, so I’ve gotten some movement in already, but I plan on going for a nice walk after eating! Take the dog out for a walk after your food has settled so that you can get those steps in!
  5. Don’t have food guilt. This one is most important to me, bc with my background of bodybuilding, I still get food guilt and its not fun. It’s just one day! Enjoy yourself and get back to your normal routine tomorrow! Enjoy this day and all the food that comes with it! Instead of have a regular size of each dessert, have a little bit of each one that way you get your sweet fix!

Below is a picture of me on a past Thanksgiving dreaming of eating pie while being 2 weeks out from a bodybuilding show. AND never again. I love the holidays you everyone needs to enjoy this time with their family and friends! SO enjoy the day!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope these tips help you relax and enjoy all the food! Comment below your favorite Thanksgiving dish! Have a great day!

Remember to stay tuned for some fun awesome things coming in December!
